This wheel-thrown, 5 inch tall, lidded jar features a rounded, sculptural form that subtly echoes the posture of a penguin. The surface is finished in layered blazes that flow from deep ocean green into warm, sandy tones creating natural movement and depth across the form. One of the most striking features is how the layered glazes carry seamlessly onto the lid, adding continuity and visual cohesion. Variations in glaze and form emerge naturally through the firing, ensuring each viewing angle offers something slightly different.

This one-of-a-kind piece is made of stoneware and fired to 2200°, making it food safe for daily rituals and easy care, including dishwasher and oven use.
